Peaches, Tomatoes, Quinoa Salad for Pinterest

Today we are going to cook Peaches, Tomatoes, Quinoa Salad with you. And before we start a bit about its main ingredient – quinoa.

Quinoa is a common name for Chenopodium quinoa of the flowering plant family Amaranthaceae. It is grown as a grain crop for its edible seeds.

Quinoa is gluten-free, high in protein and one of the few plant foods that contain all essential amino acids. It is also high in fiber, magnesium, B-vitamins, iron, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin E and various antioxidants.

To cook quinoa, simply stir it into the boiling water or broth, cover and simmer over low heat until done. The ratio is 1 regular cup of uncooked quinoa to 2 cups of water. That’s it.

I am sure you will come with some tips and tricks while cooking dishes from quinoa, so please come back and share them in the comments section below.
