A new day and a new recipe. Today I cooked a wet (moist) chocolate cake. The cake is very soft, juicy and sweet, and the most important – it is so easy to cook! If you like to bake something sweet, you will love this recipe!

Bon appétit.

Steps

1
Done

Start with making pastry. Break one egg, add sugar, cinnamon and milk, then mix everything.

2
Done

Melt butter and add it to the main ingredients, too. Mix everything again.

3
Done

Put raisins and begin to add flour mixing it very gently. Finally, finish with your dough and put it on the pan and into the oven for 10 minutes on 365ºF-374ºF (185°C-190°C).

4
Done

Check the cake and when you see the browned crust on top of it, decrease the temperature to 320ºF (160°C) and leave it for 10 minutes. Tip: all ovens are different. I recommend to make sure that the above temperature is enough to bake the cake properly. You can raise the temperature by +/- 5 degrees to have the browned crust.

5
Done

When you see that the cake is ready - take it out of the oven. Tip: here is how to know that the cake is ready: take a toothpick and prick the cake. If you can’t see wet dough on your toothpick, it means that the cake is absolutely ready!

6
Done

Wait for the cake to cool down. While you wait, boil the syrup. Also mix strawberries with some water and sugar and boil them, too. Wait for 5 minutes and then start to water the cake using the syrup that you’ve got. Do this twice. I had 0.004 liquid ounces (100 mg) of syrup, but used only 0.002 liquid ounces (70 mg). It turned out to be enough. After all of this is done, put the cake into the fridge.

7
Done

Melt the chocolate and mix it with milk. Then take the cake out of the fridge and spread the chocolate on top of it. Decorated the cake with blackberries. Voila!
