Making Eggs Benedict
My hubbie and I have a weekend tradition: we wake up at 10-11 am, drink some water and coffee, and then think hard about what we want to eat for breakfast.
Usually, I like to cook various mini-dishes and serve small portions however this weekend I cooked Eggs Benedict.
My first impression of this dish (in one of Canberra’s cafés) was not so great. The eggs looked pretty good but I didn’t like the taste of the sauce. It was foamy, sour and its texture was very watery. How can something like that be tasty, right?!
I remember that feeling: I scraped the sauce and ate the eggs only. It was 4 months ago. But I still remember that it was a really bad taste. When you go somewhere to eat you probably expect at least two things:
- Good service.
- Delicious food.
If the place doesn’t have both characteristics, will you come back? Big question. In our case, we will not come back to such place because we are on a constant hunt for new ideas to cook the perfect meal.
I really love to cook and I try to find or create as many recipes as I can and not just the ones that are quick and easy. However, Eggns Benedict are easy to make so check out my recipe here for some tips and tricks.
Have a great weekend!
