American Style Cheese Pizza Recipe

When I think of three of my favorite pizza types, American Style Cheese Pizza recipe is definitely one of them. As my amazing friend Mirlene from Savory Thoughts food blog says: “Good food – good life”. Hence, we are going to cook some good food today. One condition though: you’ve got to love cheese. Lots of cheese!

Even if you do not have a wood-burning oven at your place, this recipe is perfect for making some honest pizza, super-thin and swiftly cooked. You will be surprised how fast it will become an all-time favorite among your family and friends 🙂 And you don’t need to spend a fortune to make it enough for the whole gang.

Great Dough = Great Pizza

Just as every house needs a rock-solid foundation, every pizza needs good dough. Once you get the dough right, call it done. Well, almost.

If you carefully follow the steps below and pull off the dough right, everything else will be a breeze. But no worries, this recipe is extremely easy so you won’t have any problems with it.

Vladi and I love to eat fresh oven-baked pizza and really enjoy making dough that tastes exactly the same every time we make it. And, thankfully, there is no need to make this American Style Cheese Pizza recipe identical every time – experiment with toppings. I added a bit more of everything today.

Needless to say, cheese and pepperoni are besties. They always were and always will be! 🙂 🧀

Reheat milk a little bit and add yeast, sugar and salt. Set aside for 15 minutes in a warm place and cover it with a towel.

Add flour portion by portion and mix everything together until you see that you dough is sticky. Then add oil and mix it together. Cover the dough for 30 minutes.

Form the pizza base and generously cover with the sauce. Place it into heated oven up to 180 °C (375 °F) for 10 minutes.

Cover with pepperoni and cheese on top and place it again to oven for another 10 minutes 160 °C (350 °F). Voila!

This American style cheese pizza recipe is incredible! It was so tasty that cheese was all over my face, fingers and couch! 😂 But that is what usually happens when I get my hands on a super tasty pizza like this!

I used to love pepperoni. Since I no longer eat pork, I go for the next best thing – cheese! The “other better half” the other bestie! Imagine on a nice cool day where the weather is just perfect, and you sit there to enjoy the cool breeze as you also enjoy a slice of extra cheese pizza. Just strings of never ending cheese —this is what the pictures and this post does to me. Not to mentioned followed by a cold glass of coke! Perfection! Thursday night is pizza night for us. I will be enjoying this recipe. Can’t wait to share my results. Yes, my friend, good food good life indeed. 😊
