Mastering the Art of French Cooking
My First Cookbook Really
One night my husband and I watched a movie called “Julie & Julia“. It is an American comedy film that describes two true stories. One of those stories is the life of the “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” author – Julia Child. I mentioned to my husband that this movie inspired me to learn more of French cuisine and to cook something new…
A couple of weeks my husband surprised me with a very lovely gift. It was two wonderful books – “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” by Julia Child! By the way, Julia wrote them together with Simone Beck and Loisette Bertholle (Louisette was one of the co-authors of the first volume). Anyway, the point is – I had the exact same books I saw in the movie. I was very happy and I couldn’t believe that I had those books in my hands.
Such gifts are very important because they share huge knowledge and as a result help to bring out the natural talent of cooking. I love cooking… I read a lot of new recipes every day and cook a lot, too. When I write about recipes, I just can’t stop thinking about new ideas and new heights to reach.
Resuming
So, I’ve started mastering the art of french cooking now with Julia Child and the first recipe I’ve chosen from the book was Supremes de Volaille a Blanc or Breast of Chicken with Cream Sauce. Although, I did cook my own sauce for it and made sure there was enough for two! Here is this recipe. Enjoy!
